Remedy Entertainment's ambition: To become the European Naughty Dog. Inspired by Naughty Dog's cinematic masterpieces like the Uncharted series, Remedy Entertainment, spearheaded by Alan Wake 2 director Kyle Rowley, aims to establish itself as a leading European game developer, mirroring the success of its American counterpart. This aspiration, revealed in a Behind The Voice podcast interview, significantly shaped the development of both Quantum Break and Alan Wake 2.

Rowley explicitly stated their goal: "We should aspire to be the European version of Naughty Dog." This influence is palpable in Alan Wake 2's cinematic presentation, characterized by stunning visuals and a gripping narrative. The game's success has firmly cemented Remedy's position as a top-tier European studio.

Remedy's vision extends beyond the horror genre. Naughty Dog's mastery of single-player cinematic experiences, exemplified by the Uncharted and The Last of Us franchises (the latter being a critically acclaimed and award-winning series), serves as a benchmark for Remedy's ambitions.

Alan Wake 2, even over a year post-launch, continues to receive updates, enhancing gameplay across all platforms. A notable addition is the "Balanced" graphics option for the PS5 Pro, cleverly combining the strengths of both the Performance and Quality modes. These updates also refine the game's graphics for a smoother framerate and clearer visuals, alongside addressing minor bugs, particularly within the Lake House expansion.
