While Paradox Interactive's core titles, including Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis, performed exceptionally well, Wester openly admitted that several projects outside their core strategy game genre faltered. The cancellation of Life by You, a life simulation game intended to rival The Sims, stands out as a prime example of these strategic miscalculations.
