In the world of Elden Ring, the bow typically serves as a support weapon, perfect for drawing enemy attention, weakening foes from a distance, or executing strategic maneuvers like causing a bird to plummet for rune farming. However, when you step into the shoes of the Ironeye class in Nightreign, the bow transforms into the very essence of your gameplay, offering a unique experience distinct from the other eight classes. This class brings you as close as Nightreign gets to a support role. Dive into the exclusive gameplay video below to witness Ironeye in action.

One of the first things you'll notice when playing as the Ironeye is their vulnerability. While they can wield any weapon, sticking with a bow is crucial for keeping a safe distance from combat, as they can't withstand many hits, particularly in the early stages. Thankfully, the starting bow is robust, delivering solid damage and featuring the Mighty Shot skill, which enables you to strike from an impressive distance, deal additional damage, and inflict extra poise damage.

It's important to note that the bow mechanics in Nightreign have been significantly revamped. Bows now shoot faster, and you can move more swiftly while targeting locked-on enemies. Additionally, the need for arrows has been eliminated, though this means you're limited to the arrow type provided by your weapon. This overhaul is a welcome change, sparing you the worry of running out of ammunition during crucial moments like boss fights. Other enhancements include a new animation for shooting arrows out of a roll, the ability to perform acrobatic feats like wall-running and leaping shots, the option to aim in third-person mode while moving quickly, a strong attack that fires a trio of arrows capable of hitting multiple foes, and the ability to backstab or execute visceral attacks on downed enemies with arrows. These improvements make the bow a formidable primary weapon in Nightreign, addressing the shortcomings it had in the base version of Elden Ring.

The Ironeye's primary skill, Marking, is a swift dashing dagger attack that passes through enemies, marking them for increased damage from all sources. With its short cooldown, you can keep this debuff active on bosses almost continuously, making it not only a potent damage booster but also a valuable mobility tool for escaping tight situations.

The Ironeye's ultimate ability, Single Shot, is a powerful, charged attack. During its animation, you're completely invulnerable, and once fired, the shot pierces through everything in its path, dealing massive damage and making it ideal for clearing groups of enemies.

What truly sets the Ironeye apart in a team setting is their exceptional ability to revive allies from a distance. In Nightreign, reviving an ally involves depleting a segmented circle above the fallen character through attacks. While most classes must risk getting close or use valuable resources like mana or ultimate abilities, the Ironeye can safely revive from afar without expending any resources. This capability can be the deciding factor in the success of a team's mission. However, reviving allies who have fallen multiple times, requiring multiple segments to be cleared, can be challenging for the Ironeye due to their limited long-range damage output, unless they utilize their ultimate specifically for revival.

Although the Ironeye might not match the raw damage output of other classes, their impact on a squad is undeniable. From enhancing team damage through marking, boosting item discovery, clearing mobs with their ultimate, to their unique ability to safely revive teammates, the Ironeye's utility is unparalleled among Nightreign's classes.
