Monster Hunter Wilds Sells 8 Million Copies in Just 3 Days, Capcom's Fastest Seller
Monster Hunter Wilds has shattered records by selling over 8 million units in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game to date. This incredible feat has been achieved despite the presence of some bugs within the game. Dive in to discover more about Capcom's remarkable achievement and the latest updates on Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has officially become Capcom's fastest-selling game, with sales exceeding 8 million units just three days after its launch. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their website, marking it as the quickest title in the company's history to achieve such a figure.
Prior reports from SteamDB highlighted the game's success, noting that MH Wilds reached over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this phenomenal achievement to their extensive promotional efforts, which included showcasing the game at global video game events and conducting an open beta test to give players a taste of what MH Wilds offers.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
In response to player feedback, MH Wilds has released a crucial update that addresses several bugs hindering gameplay progress. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.
This update resolves issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features failing to unlock even when criteria are met, problems with accessing the Monster Field Guide, and a critical bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players must update the game to continue enjoying online play.
However, not all bugs have been fixed yet. Some ongoing issues include a network error triggered when players use an SOS flare after starting a quest, and Palico's blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages. These multiplayer-related bugs are expected to be addressed in an upcoming patch.
