Escape the Cursed Forest: A Simple RPG Adventure

Embark on a unique non-field RPG experience as a seasoned hunter trapped in a cursed forest. This minimalist adventure focuses on strategic decision-making and resource management rather than complex combat systems.

Prologue:

You, the village's best hunter, journey to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. Upon awakening after your first night camping, you discover a disturbing scene: the campsite deserted, leaving behind only the remnants of numerous hunters. The national guard, responsible for overseeing the tournament, has vanished. Your attempts to retrace your steps lead you in circles, revealing the unsettling nature of the cursed forest.

The Elven Curse:

Aided by a mysterious quarter-elf named Foria, your goal is to escape this enchanted woodland. Gameplay is streamlined, with a maximum of three button selections at any given time, excluding the main menu.

Character Creation:

While character customization is limited, you can repeatedly reroll your stats to achieve your desired balance. Remember to check your status increase rate before starting the game, as this information isn't available in-game. Losing all your life force results in game over; carrying at least two talismans is recommended.

Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf:

Foria, despite their youthful appearance, claims to be older than you and secretly assists your escape by harnessing the power of the forest's ancient spirits.

Gameplay:

• Exploration: Navigate the interconnected areas of the forest by exploring unexplored regions. Exploration success is determined by your character's stats and the "fog depth" of each area.

• Encounters: Wild animals, ranging from wolves to frogs, inhabit the forest and will attack. Defeating them yields materials for trading with Foria. Unlike traditional RPGs, combat doesn't offer experience points. Battles are avoidable, though this requires skill, luck, or strategic play. Combat involves maintaining distance to use your bow and arrow. Closing the distance results in a one-sided attack; you can either withdraw or use a flash ball provided by Foria.

• Cloak System: Craft a cloak using gathered materials to enhance your abilities. Layering up to three cloaks increases their effect, and in rare instances, they can restore your life force. Note that cloaks can be damaged and eventually become unusable.
