The Last Knight is an engaging side quest that adds depth to the Rinascita region in Wuthering Waves. While it may not match the scale of the main quest or larger exploration missions, it offers a unique glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with rewarding incentives.

Compared to more complex quests like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, The Last Knight is relatively straightforward and requires less time to complete. Below is a detailed walkthrough to guide you through this quest.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To begin The Last Knight, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We highly recommend finishing the main storyline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are unlocked after completing Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the necessary quests, travel to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo near the first house along the main road exiting the town. He will be marked by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries celebrate a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. To progress in this quest, you'll need to participate in this performance by confronting the Mad Knight, among other tasks.

The Mad Knight only appears at night. Adjust the time to between 18:00 and 06:00, then head to the pool in the center of town. The Mad Knight isn't particularly challenging; just attack relentlessly until it's defeated.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to Carlow. You'll find him unconscious beside a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to another instance where you must identify the mimic among the chests.

The first three supply chests are safe to open. However, in the next set, only one chest is real, and the rest are mimics. The correct chest to open is the second one in the middle-left position. You'll receive Astrites and other rewards for choosing correctly, but be prepared to fend off the mimics that attack afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After recovering from the purple flower's effects, you'll need to visit the second and third locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight. This part involves following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

Following a conversation with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will mention a strange smell. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by invulnerable Leftless and Rightless enemies. Equip a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry the Chop Chop's attacks and stun it instantly.

After defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a fabrication; he and other Windmill Keepers were the true protectors. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day to find Carlow in one of the town plazas. He's being confronted by two knights who mock him. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to protect and challenges one of the men to a duel, shedding his romanticized view of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of being a guardian.

The quest concludes with Carlow's duel request, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will also mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event.
