Valheim's Wandering Merchants: Locations and Inventory Guide

Valheim's challenge lies in exploring diverse biomes and gathering resources to conquer formidable bosses. The journey is eased by the presence of three helpful merchants, each offering unique and valuable items. However, their locations are randomized, making them tricky to find. This guide reveals their whereabouts and inventories.

Locating Valheim's Merchants

The game's procedurally generated worlds mean merchant locations vary. While exploration is rewarding, using the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) significantly speeds up the search by revealing trader positions based on your world seed.

Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, typically found within 1500m of the world's center, is the easiest to locate. He resides in the Black Forest, often near The Elder's spawn point (identifiable via glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). Once found, build a portal for easy access. Gold is the currency; sell gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.) to acquire it.

Haldor's Inventory

Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir, located in the Meadows, is harder to find due to her distant spawn (3000-5100m from the world center). The Valheim World Generator is recommended. Look for a T-shirt icon on your map when within 300-400m. Build a portal after discovery. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and quests leading to unique dungeon chests (Smouldering Tombs, Howling Caverns, Sealed Towers).

The Bog Witch (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, found in the Swamp biome (3000-8000m from the world center), is the most challenging to locate. Use the World Generator or look for her cauldron icon. She offers ingredients for cooking and brewing, and her hut provides comfort level 3.
