Serial Cleaner tasks you with cleaning up crime scenes while under the influence of a moustache

Jan 24,25

Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Remember the 2019 release? This time, it's hitting mobile. But will it be a refined re-release or simply a port? Only time will tell.

The game throws you into the gritty (and goofy) 1970s, a decade seemingly fueled by urban decay, stylish gangs, airborne turkeys, and killer sharks (thanks, cinema!). You play Bob Leaner, a professional crime-scene cleaner with the unenviable task of disposing of bodies, cleaning up blood, and erasing all evidence of mob violence—all while dodging the police.

Our 2019 review described the original as "half-baked but with potential." Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile version, suggesting a chance for improvement.

A Funky Revival?

Available for pre-registration now, with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the extent of the changes remains unclear. While a polished update would be welcome, given the time elapsed, significant improvements might be optimistic.

The core concept is undeniably intriguing, but a simple mobile port dampens the excitement somewhat. However, for Android users who missed out, or iOS players facing compatibility issues, this could be a pleasant surprise.
