Set in feudal Japan, Assassin's Creed Shadows plunges players into a world of political intrigue and brutal samurai clashes. The game is slated for release on March 20th, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Renowned industry insider, Tom Henderson, has shed light on the reasons behind Assassin's Creed Shadows’ delayed release, offering context to the situation. The postponement allows for the correction of historical and cultural inaccuracies, alongside additional polishing. Contrary to speculation, Yasuke's role remains intact, though certain narrative elements involving him will be refined.

Several factors contributed to the game's development challenges. The integration of historical experts occurred later than ideal, and internal communication issues further complicated the process.

From a technical standpoint, the game isn't yet ready for launch. The team is actively addressing bug fixes and refining gameplay mechanics, though the latter requires more extensive development time. However, Henderson's sources are confident that a February 14th release is achievable, given the remaining development timeframe.
