"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"

May 19,25

Torchlight: Infinite is set to launch its highly anticipated Season 8: Sandlord on April 17th, promising a major overhaul that will redefine the game's landscape. This season introduces the Cloud Oasis, a new feature that integrates economic gameplay mechanics, allowing players to build and manage their own aerial empires through trading resources, assigning workers, and overseeing production lines.

Returning with a fresh twist, Thea introduces the Blasphemer trait, which swaps her divine abilities for the curse of Desecration. This curse begins modestly but grows significantly stronger, enhancing Erosion damage as her blessing power diminishes. Players can further customize this trait, turning it into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, ideal for those who enjoy intricate damage-over-time mechanics and synergistic builds.

The endgame experience in Torchlight: Infinite is also seeing substantial enhancements. Deep Space has been completely revamped, featuring five new stages, larger maps, and more challenging enemies. A new system called Probes allows players to adjust the risk and reward balance, with each probe increasing the difficulty but also the potential for better loot, including Compass chests.

Season 8 also brings a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering deeper build customization. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the roster, appearing in Plane Watcher and on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

To celebrate the launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can participate in tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
