With the 25th anniversary of the iconic Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series fast approaching, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk has confirmed that Activision and he are collaborating on a special project to commemorate the milestone.

Activision and Hawk Team Up for THPS Anniversary

During a recent appearance on YouTube's Mythical Kitchen, Hawk revealed the exciting news, stating, "I've been talking to Activision again, which is insanely exciting. We're working on something—This is the first time I've said that publicly." While specifics remain undisclosed, Hawk assured fans the project will be "something the fans will truly appreciate."

The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater launched on September 29, 1999, propelling the franchise to immense success with numerous sequels. The 2020 release of the remastered Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 (THPS 1+2) was well-received, and plans for remastering THPS 3 and 4 were previously discussed but ultimately shelved due to the closure of Vicarious Visions.

Anniversary Buzz and Speculation

The official THPS social media channels have already begun celebrating the 25th anniversary, sharing new artwork and announcing a giveaway of the THPS 1+2 Collector's Edition. This, coupled with Hawk's recent announcement, has fueled speculation of a new game reveal, potentially during a rumored Sony State of Play this month.
