Shroodle Acquisition Guide in Pokemon GO

May 26,25

The year 2025 has started off with a bang for *Pokemon GO* players, introducing a slew of new Pokemon to catch, including the delightful Fidough. But the excitement doesn't stop there—trainers are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokemon. However, unlike the usual wild encounters, snagging this newcomer requires a bit more effort.

When Did Shroodle Come to Pokemon GO?

Shroodle made its grand entrance into *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle adds a fresh face to the ever-expanding *Pokemon GO* universe. After its debut event, Shroodle will remain available for eager trainers to add to their collections.

Can Shroodle Be Shiny?

Unfortunately for Shiny hunters, Shroodle won't have its Shiny variant available at launch in *Pokemon GO*. Trainers will have to wait for a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or Team GO Rocket, to see the coveted Shiny Shroodle.

How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

Don't expect to stumble upon Shroodle while wandering around; it won't appear on your Nearby radar as a wild spawn. Instead, to catch this elusive Pokemon, trainers must hatch it from 12KM eggs. Starting from 12 AM local time on January 15, any 12KM egg you collect could potentially hatch into a Shroodle. It's expected to be more common during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event but will remain part of the 12KM egg pool afterward.

How To Get 12K Eggs

Since Shroodle is exclusive to 12KM eggs, it's crucial to know how to get them. These eggs are among the rarest in *Pokemon GO*, and there's only one way to obtain them: defeat one of the Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni in battle. The Taken Over event is the perfect opportunity to stock up on these eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent, and Rocket Radars will be easier to acquire. You can challenge GO Rocket Grunts at any time to face Sierra, Arlo, or Cliff and earn a 12K egg, provided you have space in your inventory.

How To Get Grafaiai in Pokemon GO

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuted on January 15, 2025. Unlike Shroodle, Grafaiai doesn't hatch from eggs or appear in the wild; the only way to get it is by evolving a Shroodle. It takes 50 Shroodle Candies to evolve into Grafaiai, so you'll need to hatch multiple Shroodle or make it your buddy to gather the necessary candies to evolve into this intriguing Pokemon.

*Pokemon GO is available to play now*.
