Sandrock Android Beta Test Recruitment Opens
Exciting news for fans of farm life sim RPGs: My Time at Sandrock is gearing up for a mobile beta test, but there's a catch—it's exclusively for Android users in China. This eagerly anticipated sequel to 2019's My Time at Portia, developed by Pathea Games and released on PC in 2023, is now set to explore the mobile landscape. While Steam players can enjoy it through PM Studios and Focus Entertainment, the upcoming mobile beta in China will be managed by Conscience Studio.
When Is the My Time at Sandrock Android Beta Test?
This marks the first mobile test for My Time at Sandrock, serving as a technical trial to gauge the game's compatibility with mobile devices. The developers are fine-tuning aspects like resource loading and optimization, so participants should be prepared for potential hiccups. The beta is exclusive to the Haoyou Kuaibao platform and is limited to Android users in China. The application window closes on January 22nd, with the beta starting on January 23rd.
Participants should note that their saves will be wiped at the end of the test. However, this gives you a chance to start anew after exploring the initial 30 days of in-game content, which spans the first 13 chapters. If you're in China and eager to dive into this adventure, visit the official beta test page to apply.
What’s the Story?
My Time at Sandrock unfolds in a post-apocalyptic desert setting, 300 years after the catastrophic Day of Calamity, which obliterated modern technology. As the newest Builder in Sandrock, you'll wield your tools to gather resources, craft machines, forge friendships with the locals, and even confront monsters. The game's art style is delightfully quirky and charming. Get a taste of it in the trailer below!
