Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, circumstances necessitate a change of course. Let's enjoy one last roundup!

Reviews & Mini-Views

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU

Following the Fitness Boxing series' success, including the surprisingly good Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star, Imagineer's collaboration with Hatsune Miku feels like a natural progression. This Joy-Con-only title (no Pro Controller support) blends boxing and rhythm game mechanics for daily workouts and minigames. It features a dedicated mode for Miku's songs alongside other tracks. The game offers difficulty settings, free training, warm-ups, progress tracking, reminders, and unlockable cosmetics. While the music is excellent, the main instructor's voice is somewhat jarring and may require muting. Overall, it's a solid fitness game, best used to supplement, rather than replace, other exercise routines. -Mikhail Madnani

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

Magical Delicacy ($24.99)

Magical Delicacy

Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. While the exploration is well-implemented, some backtracking and inventory management issues detract from the experience. The game boasts charming pixel art, delightful music, and customizable UI settings. Performance is generally smooth on Switch, with occasional frame pacing hiccups. The game shines in its portable format, making it a strong contender for Switch or Steam Deck players. Potential updates could significantly enhance the overall experience. -Mikhail Madnani

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)

Aero The Acro-Bat 2

A polished sequel to the original, Aero The Acro-Bat 2 offers a refined platforming experience. Ratalaika's improved emulation wrapper includes enhanced features like box and manual scans, achievements, a sprite sheet gallery, a jukebox, and cheats. While only the Super NES version is included (missing the Genesis/Mega Drive version), this is a solid release for fans and those seeking classic 16-bit platforming. -Shaun Musgrave

SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5

Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)

Metro Quester | Osaka

More of an expansion than a sequel, Metro Quester | Osaka builds upon the original's turn-based combat and top-down dungeon crawling. Set in Osaka, it introduces a new dungeon, character types, and challenges. The canoe mechanic adds a unique element to exploration. While sharing core mechanics with the original, it offers enough new content to satisfy fans and serves as a great entry point for newcomers. Careful planning and cautious play are essential. -Shaun Musgrave
