The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2's anticipated 2025 launch promises fresh endgame content and the expansion's next chapter. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, featuring the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though not immediately available upon patch release.

Dalaran's long history in Warcraft and World of Warcraft may be irrevocably altered by The War Within's events. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure and a fitting farewell to this significant social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign begins immediately. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. For optimal context and spoiler avoidance, complete prior story content first. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises:

• Ringing in the Deeps

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the campaign, her quest offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay existed for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction is lifted. However, unlocking this campaign requires completing both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (unlocked by achieving at least Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).

To verify completion, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). Khadgar's presence (after January 7th) indicates eligibility for his quest. His absence signifies remaining campaign quests. The complete Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
