Pokémon Go gets ready for the debut of Applin and Dynamax Entei later this month
This month, Pokémon Go is rolling out two exciting events that bring a taste of the Galar region to your screens. From the adorable to the formidable, you'll find plenty to enjoy with the Sweet Discoveries event and the Max Battle Weekend.
The Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, introduces the charming Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve Applin into Flapple, and Sweet Apples for Appletun. Keep an eye out for apples in the wild, especially near Mossy Lures, where you might also encounter Applin directly.
During this event, you'll see increased spawns of Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer more opportunities to catch Pokémon like Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, will help you collect Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid option includes additional Mossy Lure Modules and more chances to encounter Applin.
Don’t miss out on the Applin-themed items in the shop, such as the Applin Headband and Apron, and participate in PokéStop Showcases featuring event-themed Pokémon. For those who prefer raw power, mark your calendars for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th–27th, where you'll encounter the debut of Dynamax Entei. Keep your eyes peeled for a Shiny Entei if fortune favors you.
Prepare for these events with these *Pokémon Go codes* to enhance your gameplay experience.
Event bonuses include an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance to collect them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visit. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, free Timed Research starting April 21st will reward you with a Dynamax Sobble, perfect for countering Entei's fiery attacks.
Gear up for both events by visiting the *Pokémon Go Web Store* for additional resources and items.
