Nintendo stated that its forecast assumes the U.S. tariff rates implemented on April 10 will remain in effect throughout the fiscal year. Ahmad added that Nintendo might revise its forecast upward if the tariff situation improves. "However, the main challenge currently involves ripple effects already in motion, creating a difficult environment for a console launch. This is compounded by the threat of potential tariff increases."

It's worth noting that if the Switch 2 achieves 15 million sales in its first year, it would rank among the most successful console launches in history, surpassing the original Switch's first-year sales of 14.87 million units.
