In a world saturated with video games, finding a truly unique title can be a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative and intriguing blend of mystery and Lovecraftian horror. This puzzle adventure game boasts a captivating story, but its journey to release is equally fascinating.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is compelling. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued writing and filmmaking. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the underlying story remained. Alameen, driven by his vision, independently learned 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, bringing his concept to fruition. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery

My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery rooted in ancient Mesopotamian myths. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

Blending 7000 years of Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, My Father Lied offers a unique narrative experience. The gameplay is intuitive, featuring simple point-and-click mechanics, stunning 2D visuals, and immersive 360-degree images.
