Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

Feb 22,25

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a PlayStation Network outage that disrupted the previous test for a full day.

The PSN service interruption, lasting approximately 24 hours starting Friday, February 7th at 3 pm PT, resulted in widespread online gaming disruptions. Sony attributed the outage to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

This outage significantly impacted the highly anticipated second beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled for February 6th to 9th. The weekend session was prematurely ended. In response, Capcom announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta period.

The revised beta schedule is:

February 13th, 7 pm PT / February 14th, 3 am GMT – February 17th, 6:59 pm PT / February 18th, 2:59 am GMT

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended beta.

Despite the previous network issues, beta participants had the opportunity to engage with the game's challenging new adversary, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
