Marvel Rivals Dev Promises a New Hero Every Month and a Half
NetEase Games has exciting plans for Marvel Rivals, promising to keep the game fresh and engaging with regular updates. Creative Director Guangyun Chen revealed in an interview with Metro that the studio aims to launch a new hero every month and a half, aligning with the rollout of additional seasons. This means players can expect a new playable character every six weeks, ensuring a steady stream of new content.
"Each season, we will introduce new seasonal stories, maps, and heroes," Chen explained. "We're dividing each season into two halves, with a new hero debuting in each half. Our goal is to continuously enhance the gaming experience and keep our community excited."
With each season spanning three months, Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls set the stage by introducing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second half. These iconic characters from the Marvel universe have already made a significant impact, but maintaining this momentum will be crucial for the game's ongoing success.
The initial roster of Marvel Rivals already boasts an impressive lineup, including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm. Looking ahead, fans are eager to see new additions like Blade, rumored for Season 2, as well as other fan-favorites such as Daredevil, Deadpool, and more X-Men characters. While the exact future of the roster remains uncertain, NetEase's current success suggests they are committed to expanding and enriching the game.
In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 brought a series of balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised for the future. For the latest on Marvel Rivals, players can explore how some are using the Invisible Woman to combat an alleged bot problem, delve into the Hero Hot List, and learn about the use of mods despite the risk of bans.
