Excitement is building as *Magic: The Gathering* gears up for its next release—Aetherdrift, a set that plunges players into a high-speed, multiplanar death race across the multiverse. We’re thrilled to bring you an exclusive first look at two brand-new cards coming in the set: Cloudspire Coordinator and Count on Luck.

Kicking things off is Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon creature that perfectly encapsulates the red-white color identity of the set. This card represents the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem—a world originally introduced in Battlebond, Magic’s 2v2-focused release from 2018. Mechanically, it leans into the set’s vehicle-themed gameplay, offering support for crewing and piloting vehicles. With a power of 3, it can crew vehicles itself, or you can activate its ability to generate Pilot tokens, giving you more flexibility in how you handle your mechanical mounts.

If you're looking for something flashier, meet Count on Luck, a rare enchantment that delivers exactly what mono-red players love: speed and card advantage. For just three mana, this enchantment triggers at the beginning of each of your turns, exiling the top card of your library and letting you play it that turn. This “impulse draw” effect ensures consistent access to new tools, but there's a catch—you must use the exiled card during that turn or lose it when the phase ends. It’s a high-octane mechanic that rewards aggressive playstyles and fast decision-making.

Also included are visuals of Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. Extended art offers a wider artistic perspective by removing the side borders of the card frame. Meanwhile, First-Place Foils make their debut in Aetherdrift. These shimmering gold cards are part of a randomized buy-a-box promo available with every sealed product. Every rare in the set—as well as ten full-art lands—will be available in this eye-catching finish.

Mark your calendars: Aetherdrift launches globally on February 14, with prerelease events kicking off on February 7. You can experience the set in both physical and digital formats. Want to dive deeper? Explore the full mechanics breakdown here.

Stay tuned for more updates as the race across the multiverse begins!
