GTA 6: Gamers Ready to Spend $100

Analyst Matthew Ball previously suggested that Rockstar and Take-Two could help stabilize the gaming industry by establishing new pricing standards for AAA titles. This led players to consider whether they would be willing to pay $100 for a standard edition of Grand Theft Auto 6.

It appears many are actually open to the idea. In a survey of nearly 7,000 respondents, over one-third stated they would not mind paying that price for Rockstar's new sandbox game, even as other publishers like Ubisoft push for more expensive extended editions.

Analyst Matthew Ball's recent comments gained significant traction online, arguing that a shift to $100 base game prices could benefit the industry's sustainability. He pointed to Rockstar and Take-Two as potential leaders in setting this new precedent.

Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will receive updates in 2025, bringing the PC version in line with the enhanced PS5 and Xbox Series releases. While specifics weren't detailed, the updates are expected to include more than just graphical improvements.

PC players may gain access to the GTA+ subscription, currently limited to PS5 and Xbox Series. Additionally, features exclusive to the console version of Grand Theft Auto Online, such as Hao's Special Works performance upgrades for vehicles, could finally come to PC.

This means the renowned extreme turbo-tuning might soon be available to the PC community as well.
