Fortnite's new "Reload" mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode pits 40 players on a smaller map packed with nostalgic locations from past seasons.

What Makes Reload Mode Unique?

Reload mode offers intense squad-based action. A full squad wipe is an instant game over – no respawns for the fallen! Whether you prefer Battle Royale or Zero Build, survival hinges on keeping at least one teammate alive.

The map features classic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row, but vehicles are absent. Instead, expect a potent mix of unvaulted weapons, including fan favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.

Victory Crowns remain, and downed players drop resources (Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials in Build mode) upon elimination, keeping the battle fierce and strategic. Reboots are timed (starting at 30 seconds, increasing to 40), but eliminating enemies shortens the timer.

Elimination and Rewards

Eliminated players leave behind Small Shield Potions, various ammo types, and 50 of each building material (in Build mode). This encourages resourcefulness and keeps the pressure high for surviving squads.

The mode also includes rewarding intro quests. Complete three to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling, and a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
