Elliot Page, renowned for his role in the PlayStation and Quantic Dream's narrative-driven adventure game Beyond: Two Souls, is spearheading a television adaptation through his production company, Pageboy Productions. According to Deadline, Pageboy has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to reimagine the game as a TV series, which is currently in the early stages of development. The project aims to maintain the game’s distinctive non-linear storytelling approach. Details regarding casting and release dates are yet to be disclosed.

Reflecting on his experience with the game, Page described filming Beyond: Two Souls as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career. Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, shared insights into their approach, emphasizing their intent to "honor the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives." He highlighted the themes of survival and the impact of split-second decisions as central to their storytelling.

Beyond: Two Souls, directed and written by David Cage of Quantic Dream, was initially released for the PlayStation 3 in 2013, later making its way to PlayStation 4 in 2015 and PC in 2019. The game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities that enable her to interact with a spirit named Aiden. Its non-linear narrative and the inclusion of high-profile actors like Page and Willem Dafoe were notable aspects of the game.

David Cage expressed his excitement about collaborating with Page on the TV series, though the specifics of his involvement remain undisclosed. He praised Page's performance in the game, saying, "I was blown away by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another medium. Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey in life and beyond. I know that Elliot has all the talent and instinct to make it something really unique on TV."
