May 14,25

Following the buzz around their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has now unveiled an exciting new venture: an official mobile version of the acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This version, tailored exclusively for Android devices, aims to introduce the rich world of Disco Elysium to new audiences while offering existing fans a convenient, portable gaming experience.

In a strategic move to engage players, ZA/UM will release the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for mobile at no cost. Players can then opt to make a one-time payment to unlock the complete game, free from advertisements. This approach, according to ZA/UM, allows players to make an informed decision about their purchase. The studio emphasized its dual role as both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, highlighting their commitment to delivering a quality mobile experience.

Studio head Denis Havel shared ambitious plans to attract the TikTok audience, aiming to captivate users with quick, compelling story snippets, stunning art, and immersive audio, thus creating a new form of entertainment tailored for this demographic.

Accompanying the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots of Disco Elysium on mobile. The game features new 360-degree scenes designed to immerse players directly into the world of Revachol, complemented by brand-new audio tracks with full voiceover to enhance the character-driven narrative.

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium, designed specifically for today's mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," emphasizing its design for brief, engaging play sessions.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note, however, that while the studio retains its name, many of the original key contributors to Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Several of these former members are now working on new projects that serve as spiritual successors to the game.
