UPDATE (1/19/25) - After a brief period of being unavailable, TikTok has resumed operations in the U.S.

"In collaboration with our service providers, TikTok is actively restoring its service," the company announced via a statement on X/Twitter. "We express our gratitude to President Trump for his clear guidance and assurance to our service providers that they will not face any penalties for continuing to support TikTok, which is crucial for over 170 million Americans and supports more than 7 million small businesses.

"This decision underscores a commitment to the First Amendment and stands against arbitrary censorship. We are committed to working with President Trump to develop a sustainable solution that ensures TikTok's continued presence in the United States."
