Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4: Save Transfer and New Character Revealed

Undertale creator Toby Fox recently provided an update on the console testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. While console testing is ongoing, with fewer bugs remaining but still much to address (PS5 testing yet to begin), progress is reported as smooth.

A significant development is the team's work on enabling save transfer. Players will be able to carry over their saves from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo to the full release of Chapters 3 and 4 on consoles. This feature, recently made possible by acquiring the necessary technology, is highly anticipated.

With beta testing progressing well, a 2025 release remains on track, as previously confirmed by Fox.

A humorous anecdote from Fox reveals a minigame he's been developing, described by his friends and family as "a cry for help" due to the ongoing development of the main game. Speculation suggests this minigame might be intended for Chapter 5, given that Chapters 3 and 4 are reportedly content-complete.

More interestingly, Fox's update confirms the inclusion of a previously unseen character, Tenna, in Chapter 3. Tenna was first hinted at during the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022.

Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation with its blend of familiar mechanics and a fresh narrative. Players will once again follow Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
