Ned Luke, the voice actor behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, boldly predicts GTA 6 will generate $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. In a YouTube interview with Fall Damage, Luke expressed his confidence in the game's success, highlighting Rockstar Games' unpredictable yet consistently impressive track record.

Luke urges patience, assuring fans, "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He cites GTA 5's $800 million day-one achievement in 2013 as a benchmark, suggesting GTA 6 will significantly surpass it. Market research firm DFC Intelligence forecasts over 40 million copies sold and $3.2 billion in revenue during the first year, with $1 billion projected from pre-orders alone.

Returning GTA 5 Characters in GTA 6?

Luke also shared insights on the potential return of GTA 5 characters in GTA Online and possibly GTA 6. He notes Michael's absence from GTA Online since its launch, unlike Trevor and Franklin. He hints at Michael's possible appearance in a future GTA Online DLC or even GTA 6 itself. Steven Ogg (Trevor in GTA 5) previously suggested (ScreenRant, January 2025) an intriguing scenario where Trevor's death could mark a symbolic passing of the torch.

Luke remains tight-lipped, stating, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6, like [its online mode]. Maybe. Maybe not." While both actors express enthusiasm about reprising their roles, no official confirmation exists regarding their presence in GTA 6.

GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?

Former Rockstar Games animator Mike York (via a now-deleted interview with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz, reported by GamesRadar) suggests GTA 6 is undergoing internal testing. He emphasizes the game's unique open-world design and the unpredictable elements that emerge only during extensive playtesting. York believes the game is likely playable at this stage, with numerous internal testers having likely completed playthroughs.

Rockstar Games unveiled a GTA 6 trailer in December 2023, but has remained silent since. While a Fall 2025 release was previously speculated (based on Take-Two Interactive's 2024 financial report), no official release date has been announced.
