Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.21 Enhances Tech with NVIDIA DLSS 4
CD Projekt RED has recently rolled out a significant update for Cyberpunk 2077, introducing not only a slew of bug fixes but also integrating cutting-edge NVIDIA technology. This update is set to enhance the gaming experience for players, especially those with GeForce RTX graphics cards.
A key highlight of this update is the introduction of DLSS 4 support, which will be available to GeForce RTX 50 graphics card owners starting January 30th. This technology promises to generate multiple extra frames, significantly improving gameplay fluidity. Furthermore, DLSS 4 accelerates the creation of an additional frame on both RTX 50 and 40 series cards while utilizing less memory, ensuring a smoother and more efficient gaming experience.
For all GeForce RTX graphics card users, the update now allows the selection between the convolution neural network model and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. Opting for the transformation model provides enhanced lighting, increased detail, and more stable images, thereby elevating visual quality.
The update also addresses several technical issues, such as fixing interference and crashes on in-game screens when DLSS ray reconstruction is enabled. Additionally, the "Frame Creation" parameter now correctly updates after resolution scaling is disabled, ensuring a more seamless gaming experience.
Key Changes in Update 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077:
- Fixed a bug that prevented interaction with some vendors.
- Resolved an issue causing the sound of TV news programs to be missing or too quiet.
- Corrected a bug where Johnny appeared in the passenger seat less frequently than intended.
- Addressed a glitch causing some items to vanish when the player uses the ability to hide surrounding NPCs.
- Fixed a game freeze that occurred when entering photo mode while simultaneously accessing a closet or stash.
- In Photo Mode, players can now position Nibbles and Adam Smasher in the frame even if Vee is in the air or water.
- Enhanced the feature that adjusts Adam Smasher's facial expressions for more dynamic interactions.
This comprehensive update not only aims to refine the gameplay mechanics but also significantly boosts the visual and performance aspects of Cyberpunk 2077, ensuring a richer and more immersive experience for all players.
