Annapurna Interactive's recent mass staff resignation sparked concerns about the future of its projects. However, several upcoming games appear unaffected.

Control 2, Wanderstop, and More Remain on Track

Following the mass resignation reported by Bloomberg News, developers reassured fans about the status of their games. While the exodus caused uncertainty, several projects are proceeding.

Remedy Entertainment confirmed their deal for Control 2, including Alan Wake and Control AV rights, is with Annapurna Pictures, and that Remedy is self-publishing Control 2, ensuring continued development.

Davey Wreden (The Stanley Parable) and Team Ivy Road confirmed Wanderstop’s development is progressing smoothly, with Wreden stating its release is imminent. Team Ivy Road echoed this sentiment, highlighting their continued hard work.

Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, is also expected to remain unaffected. While acknowledging the loss of the Annapurna team, Newell pledged regular updates.

Beethoven & Dinosaur similarly reassured fans that Mixtape, one of Annapurna Interactive's most anticipated titles, continues development.

Conversely, the status of several other games, including No Code's Silent Hill: Downfall, Furcula's Morsels, Great Ape Games’ The Lost Wild, Dinogod’s Bounty Star, and Annapurna Interactive's internally developed Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, remains unclear pending developer statements.

Annapurna Pictures CEO Megan Ellison affirmed their commitment to supporting their partners during this transition. While uncertainty lingers, many developers have expressed optimism regarding their projects' futures.

Annapurna Interactive's Mass Resignation and Continued Support

Annapurna Interactive experienced a significant setback with the resignation of its entire 25-person team following disagreements over the studio's future. This followed the departure of former president Nathan Gary. Despite this, Annapurna Pictures CEO Megan Ellison reiterated their commitment to interactive entertainment and innovative storytelling.
