As a new addition to the Ys universe, distinct from the original Ys 3, Gyalva brings a fresh challenge with a variety of potent attacks. Despite the straightforward combat, Gyalva can deal substantial damage quickly, often disrupting the bridge with fiery assaults.

Spinning Attacks

Gyalva employs two types of spinning attacks. The first sends it over a segment of the bridge, causing the affected plates to spin upwards. The second sees Gyalva fly over the entire bridge in a straight line, flipping the plates as it goes. Both can be devastating if you're underleveled.

To dodge the first attack, quickly move to the unaffected side. For the second, the safest spots are the ledges at the bridge's ends. Avoid staying at the very edge to prevent being cornered; instead, use the bridge's length to attack Gyalva before retreating to the nearest ledge.

Fire Blast

Gyalva launches a fireball at the bridge, propelling the plates upward. While getting hit causes damage, this also presents a chance to land multiple hits on Gyalva.

Bursting Torches
