Xbox Game Pass Announces New Titles for Early January
Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Games and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled the first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for 2025, confirming several anticipated additions and departures. The January lineup includes a mix of new releases and returning favorites, with varying availability across Game Pass tiers.
Key Highlights:
- New additions: Seven games are joining the service, including the highly anticipated Diablo and UFC 5. Road 96 is immediately available, while others launch on January 8th and 14th.
- Tier restrictions: Diablo is exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and UFC 5 is limited to Ultimate subscribers only. Other titles are available with a standard subscription.
- Departures: Six games are leaving the service on January 15th.
Microsoft's official Xbox blog post (January 7, 2025) detailed the additions. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure game, is available now across all tiers. Its return follows a previous stint on the platform (June 2023). Other notable additions include the early access title Lightyear Frontier, the life-sim My Time at Sandrock, and the building game Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders.

- Diablo: Available January 14th (Ultimate & PC Game Pass)
Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also receive new perks starting January 7th, including in-game items for Apex Legends, First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
