World of Warcraft has introduced the Coward’s Azure Target, a new back transmog available as a Twitch Drop in celebration of the return of Plunderstorm. From January 14 to February 4, players can earn this item by watching four hours of any World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch, adding a fresh piece to their collection of loot and plunder from the event.

Plunderstorm, a battle royale mode introduced in early 2024, makes its comeback to World of Warcraft starting January 14 for about a month. This event not only brings back the thrilling piratical battles but also introduces both old and new rewards through the Plunderstore.

However, World of Warcraft enthusiasts don't need to dive into Plunderstorm to grab an extra in-game item. The Coward’s Azure Target, a new back transmog, is up for grabs as a Twitch Drop during the first three weeks of Plunderstorm. Between January 14 and February 4, fans can earn this item for free by watching any World of Warcraft streams on Twitch, regardless of whether the streamers are playing Plunderstorm.

How to Get World of Warcraft Plunderstorm Twitch Drop

  • First, connect your Battle.net and Twitch accounts via the Connections page on Twitch.
  • From January 14 at 10 AM PST to February 4 at 10 AM PST, watch four hours of any Twitch streamer in the World of Warcraft category to earn the Coward’s Azure Target back transmog.
  • Claim the drop from your Twitch inventory page.
  • The Coward’s Azure Target will be automatically added to your Warband transmog Collections pane.

The Coward’s Azure Target is a unique transmog, previously unavailable in the game. It's a recolor of the Coward’s Violet Target, which was a free reward for completing the World of Warcraft Trading Post Traveler’s Log in August 2024. Although the original item didn't thrill fans, the opportunity to earn free items via Twitch Drops is always welcome.

For those not thrilled by this particular Twitch Drop, World of Warcraft has plenty more to offer. Alongside the rewards from Plunderstorm, the upcoming Patch 11.1 will introduce customizable campsites to the character select screen, a feature eagerly anticipated by players. Additionally, there's a good chance another Twitch Drop will coincide with the release of Patch 11.1, offering more free items for players to collect on their journey to Undermine.
