Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April
LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is gearing up for a stellar launch later this month, promising a cosmic overhaul that will revamp everything from the menus to the battlefield. Players will be transported to the Dual Nova galaxy, where they can explore the realms of the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.
Three exciting new champions are set to join the battle in this latest update, each bringing unique and game-changing abilities to the fray. Ryze, the Rune Mage, unleashes massive AoE damage and offers strategic mobility with his Realm Warp, teleporting teammates across the map. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives in chaos, using Paranoia to shroud enemies in darkness, creating moments of intense confusion and opportunity. Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time itself, slowing enemies and even reviving allies with his Chronoshift ability.
Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage ability will now scale over time, making him even more resilient, while his Judgment will effectively shred enemy armor. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage output and life steal capabilities. Additionally, smaller tweaks are in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh meta for players to navigate.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that emerge through portals during the laning phase. Mages, in particular, are in for a treat with the introduction of new items. The Bandle Fantasy item enhances burst damage, Hextech GLP800 introduces frost bombs to slow enemies, and Malignance boosts ultimate abilities, making spellcasters a formidable force on the battlefield.
Ranked mode is also getting an upgrade with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, ushering in a new season complete with updates to the Ranked store and streamlined methods for earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a thrilling twist on ARAM with added augments and captivating galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass in Patch 6.1 will feature two breathtaking skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate’s new look introduces an entirely fresh skinline, adding even more variety to the game's aesthetics.
LoL: Wild Rift’s version 6.1 patch is scheduled for release on April 16th. For more details, be sure to check out the official website.
