Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 DRM or Denuvo Requirements?

In a recent FAQ, Saber Interactive clarified that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, launching September 9th, will not employ DRM such as Denuvo. While DRM aims to combat piracy, its impact on performance has been a source of contention among gamers. Previous examples of DRM negatively affecting games include Capcom's Enigma DRM in Monster Hunter Rise.

However, the PC version will utilize Easy Anti-Cheat software. While generally accepted, Easy Anti-Cheat has faced scrutiny, notably during an Apex Legends tournament hacking incident earlier this year.

The absence of planned official mod support might disappoint some players. Nevertheless, the game boasts a compelling array of features, including PvP arena, horde mode, and a comprehensive photo mode. Importantly, Saber Interactive assures players that all gameplay content remains free, with microtransactions and DLC strictly limited to cosmetic items.
