While World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event has concluded, plenty of activities await players before Patch 11.1's release later this year. The return of the Turbulent Timeways event offers a unique reward for those who master the manipulation of time.

Turbulent Timeways Event Explained

Unlike the usual spread-out Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways packs five consecutive Timewalking events into a single, extended period from January 1st to February 25th. Each week features dungeons from a different expansion:

  • Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
  • Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
  • Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
  • Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
  • Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
  • Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
  • Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)

Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff. This two-hour buff (which persists through death) provides a 5% experience bonus from quests and monster kills. Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways," a three-hour buff (also persistent) granting a 30% experience bonus. Each completed Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer.

To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent losing your progress; letting the Knowledge of Timeways timer run out requires restarting from scratch.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers enticing rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, previously available during Dragonflight's Turbulent Timeways, returns, purchasable for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking vendors.

Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits those who achieve the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
