War Thunder Mobile Launches Its Aircraft Open Beta!

Jul 09,23

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air battles has officially launched, delivering intense aerial combat. Gaijin Entertainment's latest update introduces over 100 aircraft from three nations, with more to come. While the game previously featured aircraft in naval and ground support roles, this beta introduces a dedicated air tech tree and mode.

This open beta features aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic planes like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. Players can progress through a single nation's tech tree or explore multiple. High-ranking aircraft can be obtained via blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event planned for early October.

The open beta includes a new Aviation campaign, featuring an aircraft hangar for managing vehicles, researching tech trees, and upgrading crews. Squadrons of up to four planes can be formed, allowing for customization of aircraft and armaments. A trailer showcasing the update is available below:

The aircraft hangar serves as a central hub between battles, enabling vehicle selection, camouflage customization, tech tree exploration, and squad formation. Players have three options for each aircraft slot: vehicle swapping, armament modification, and crew upgrades. Squadrons can be built from any aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.

This expansive update offers a wealth of new content. Download War Thunder Mobile from the Google Play Store and experience the aircraft open beta. Fans of Advance Wars might also be interested in our review of Athena Crisis, a new turn-based strategy game.
