Bloodlines 2 was first unveiled in March 2019, with an initial release planned for March 2020. The game was initially developed by Hardsuit Labs. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and development would transition to The Chinese Room. The release date was then rescheduled for late 2024, then shifted to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
