As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO approaches its conclusion, the excitement reaches its peak with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. Kicking off on May 21st, 2025, and running through to May 27th, this event marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, offering the chance to evolve it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct styles: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication, you can now transform your determined Kubfu into Urshifu. The choice between Single Strike and Rapid Strike styles depends on your battling strategy. To unlock the Single Strike style, set Kubfu as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.

Additionally, a Special Research quest will continue the Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research offers Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp makes its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event comes packed with additional bonuses to enhance your gameplay.

During this period, you'll need to travel just one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles increases to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, yielding 8× Max Particles. Plus, you'll gain two extra Special Trades during this window.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, although the power boost remains constant.
