New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon Sleep players have a reason to rejoice! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile have joined the roster of befriendable Pokémon. This guide explains how to add these icy-clawed creatures to your team.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

True to their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, Sneasel and Weavile appear in the Snowdrop Tundra in Pokémon Sleep. However, they are classified as Dark-type in this game, lacking dual typing.

Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of their research island progression. The EZ Travel Ticket allows for island switching if needed.

Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them on Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle requires setting your sleep type to Dozing. Sneasel, being the pre-evolution, is generally easier to find during Sleep Research. Evolution to Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, wild encounters remain necessary for Sleep Research data on Weavile.

Are They Worth It?

Sneasel's value lies in its ability to gather Wiki Berries, especially beneficial in its native Snowdrop Tundra. It also provides an Extra Tasty boost to dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable team member.

Sneasel Debut Bundle
