Collecting Skulls is not guaranteed per elimination or cache; it's somewhat random, so keep an eye out for the floating skull icon and listen for the associated sound cue.

To maximize Skull acquisition, focus on maximizing eliminations or cache openings. Here’s a breakdown of efficient strategies:

• Multiplayer: Prioritize Kill Confirmed mode on smaller maps like Nuketown.
• Zombies: Utilize the Rampage Inducer and focus on early rounds (before Round 6) in round-based maps like Liberty Falls or The Tomb. GobbleGums like Hidden Power, Crate Power, or Wall Power can significantly boost your zombie-killing efficiency. Note that Skull drop rates appear to decrease after acquiring around 10 Skulls in a single match.
• Warzone: Resurgence mode, particularly Solos, is ideal for maximizing cache openings. However, remember that cache availability diminishes as the match progresses.

While early-round Zombies showed the highest Skull yield per minute in our testing, the inconsistent and potentially buggy drop rates necessitate a diverse approach. Experiment to find what works best for you.
