Troy Baker Voices Mystery-Solving Mouse in New Game
In an exciting debut trailer unveiled today at Summer Game Fest, fans got their first glimpse—and listen—of acclaimed voice actor Troy Baker in his newest and most unexpected role yet: a crime-solving mouse in MOUSE: P.I. for Hire.
In MOUSE, Baker lends his voice to Jack Pepper, a war-hero-turned-private investigator who just so happens to be a mouse. The story kicks off with a familiar noir trope—a mysterious dame walks into Jack’s office with a case—but quickly spirals into a much larger mystery involving murder, political corruption, and deep citywide secrets in the bustling metropolis of Mouseburg.
MOUSE: P.I. for Hire is a 3D first-person shooter that immediately stands out thanks to its vibrant, retro-inspired cartoon aesthetic. Drawing visual influence from 1930s noir films and classic animation styles similar to Cuphead, the game blends immersive gameplay with a distinctive artistic flair.
Troy Baker, known for his iconic roles such as Joel in The Last of Us, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, Sam Drake in Uncharted 4, and Higgs Monaghan in Death Stranding, continues to expand his impressive gaming portfolio with this unique and imaginative title.
Developed by Fumi Games, MOUSE: P.I. for Hire is scheduled for release later this year across Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC platforms.
