Adding to the speculation, Tony Hawk himself revealed on Mythical Kitchen that he's been in discussions with Activision, teasing a project that will "truly appreciate" the fans.

The success of the 2020 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 remake made a sequel featuring games 3 and 4 seem inevitable. However, Activision's 2021 absorption of Vicarious Visions, the developer behind the acclaimed remake, into Blizzard cast a shadow of uncertainty.
