Get ready for an exciting Pokémon GO event during Fashion Week: Taken Over, running from January 15th to January 19th. This event not only brings stylish fun but also intense battles as Team Go Rocket invades the game. You'll have the opportunity to challenge Giovanni and rescue the powerful Shadow Palkia. Additionally, on January 19th, don't miss the Shadow Raid Day featuring Ho-Oh, where you can catch this legendary Pokémon and possibly encounter its Shiny form.

Fashion Week will also introduce two new Pokémon to the game: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs, adding a fresh challenge to your Pokémon collection. During the event, expect to see Team Go Rocket more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample chances to battle them and use Charged TMs to help your Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration move.

The event brings back Shadow Pokémon with new additions like Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Some of these might even be Shiny, adding to the excitement. You can battle these Shadow Pokémon in various Shadow Raids, and for the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to participate from anywhere.

Engage in the special research task to obtain a Super Rocket Radar, which will lead you to a showdown with Giovanni and the chance to save Shadow Palkia. The event also includes Field Research tasks that reward you with Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing the special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.

Mark your calendar for Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time for Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day. This event offers extra Raid Passes and increases your chances of encountering a Shiny Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh caught during this time can learn the powerful Charged Attack Sacred Fire. For $5, you can purchase an event ticket to enjoy numerous additional rewards.
