Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Preorder Bonus
Digital preorders and Day One physical editions include a set of in-game digital items:
- 57,300 potch
- Fortune Orb x1
- Prosperity Orb x1
Potch serves as the in-game currency. The Fortune Orb doubles experience gains for the character equipped with it, while the Prosperity Orb doubles battle earnings. Note that Suikoden I's protagonist cannot equip both orbs simultaneously.
What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?
Originally released in 1995 (Japan) and 1996 (West) for PlayStation, Suikoden I kicked off the series, followed by Suikoden II in 1998. Both games challenge players to recruit 108 warriors to combat evil forces.
Rather than full visual overhauls that risk losing the original charm, this remaster preserves the pixel-art aesthetic while optimizing it for widescreen displays. Spell effects have been refined for smoother animations, and character portraits now feature HD redrawings.
Quality-of-life improvements include:
- Battle speed adjustments
- Auto-battle functionality
- Auto-save feature
- Conversation log (helpful for missed dialogue)
- Redesigned UI for easier equipment management
