Community suggestions ranged widely, encompassing a Smash TV remake and Star Fox-inspired titles. Pilestedt confirmed prior internal consideration of a Smash TV remake and even mentioned a Star Fox-esque project within the "rail game" genre.

While specifics remain undisclosed, Arrowhead's active community engagement is evident. Helldivers 2's success, a standout title of 2024, sets a high benchmark for their next endeavor.

A recent update has significantly boosted Helldivers 2's player count on PS5. The "Omens of Tyranny" expansion, a surprise release at the 2024 Game Awards, has been well-received. This update introduced the highly anticipated Illuminate enemy faction, a 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps. With a rumored Killzone crossover also on the horizon, Helldivers 2 appears poised for continued success in 2025.
