Stellar Blade's Festive Holiday Update: A Cozy Christmas in Xion

Stellar Blade is decking the halls (and Xion) for the holidays with a new event launching December 17th. This update brings festive cheer, new outfits, and a mini-game, but not everyone is celebrating.

New Holiday Outfits and Decorations:

Eve, Adam, and even the Drone get holiday makeovers! Expect vibrant Christmas-themed costumes:

• Santa Dress (Eve)
• Rudolph Pack (Drone)
• I’m No Santa (Adam)

Eve's look can be further customized with a Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.

Xion itself transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with festive decorations in red, green, and white. Eve's camp and The Last Gulp also receive the holiday treatment, accompanied by new seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away").

A New Mini-Game:

A new mini-game awaits! While details are scarce, it involves shooting targets on a holiday drone for special rewards.

Control Seasonal Content:

A new setting allows players to enable or disable seasonal content, including the Nier:Automata DLC, offering three options:

• Auto: Automatically enables/disables based on the season.
• Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
• Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.

Mixed Reception:

While many fans are delighted, particularly with the "Christmas Eve" nickname for the protagonist, some question the frequency of event updates in a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content is also a point of contention.

The short playtime necessitates a restart to fully enjoy the seasonal additions, unlike games with multiplayer or high replayability.
