Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Finally Arrives on Mobile!

After a long wait, mobile gamers can finally experience the massive Stardew Valley update 1.6, launching November 4th, 2024. This update, initially released on PC in March 2024, brings a wealth of new features to console and mobile platforms.

What's New in Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Mobile?

This update significantly expands the multiplayer experience, now supporting up to eight players online—double the previous limit! Collaborate with friends on farming, fishing, and building projects. Two exciting new fishing festivals, the Trout Derby and SquidFest, join the seasonal event lineup, alongside the Desert Festival.

Explore the new Meadowlands Farm layout, ideal for livestock farming and convenient fishing. Over 100 new NPC dialogues enrich interactions with the town's residents, adding depth to your relationships.

A plethora of new items await! These include the Big Chest (nearly double the capacity of a standard chest), a dehydrator for preserving fruits and mushrooms, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker for crafting specialized fishing lures.

Customization options abound with new furniture styles and over 25 new hats. Complete quests and festival events to earn prize tickets, redeemable at a prize machine in Lewis's house.

Multiple pets are now possible after maximizing your initial pet's affection. These companions might even bring you gifts, and you can now adorn them with hats! Notice the NPCs sporting new winter attire.

A golden Joja parrot assists in locating the final golden walnuts on Ginger Island. New crops include carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.

Reason for the Delay?

The delay in the mobile and console release allowed the developers to thoroughly test the update on PC, ensuring a smoother experience for all players. Now, in November, get ready to enjoy the new fishing events, bond with your new pets, and cultivate the latest crops!
