Sony Releases PS5 and PS4 Updates: Key Features Revealed
Sony has rolled out new updates for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, enhancing various features and improving overall user experience.
The PS5's update, version 25.02-11.00.00, is a substantial 1.3GB in size and brings several key improvements. One of the most noticeable changes is in the activities section, where details are now fully displayed on cards, making it easier for gamers to keep track of their progress. Importantly, potential spoilers remain hidden to preserve the gaming experience.
Additionally, this update introduces support for Unicode 16.0 emojis, allowing users to express themselves more vividly in messages. On the safety front, there have been adjustments to parental controls. When setting the restriction level to Late Teens or Older, the Communication and User-Generated Content will default to Restrict. However, if you previously set this level, your settings will remain unchanged and will be labeled as Customize.
As always, Sony has focused on enhancing system software performance and stability, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. The update also refines the messages and usability on certain screens for a more intuitive interface.
