Sonic Rumble is gearing up for an exciting pre-release crossover event, and it's not holding back on the star power! Even though the global launch is scheduled for May 8th, fans won't have to wait to dive into the action, as this event kicks off before the worldwide release. Lucky players in soft launch regions can participate from now until May 7th.

The event is a nostalgic celebration of Sega's iconic characters from past and present. You can claim the Werewolf from the classic game Altered Beast for free during this period. For those who subscribe to the Sega Star Event Pass, there's even more in store: you'll unlock the Weredragon, another character from Altered Beast, along with Opa-Opa, the beloved mascot from the arcade hit Fantasy Zone.

But that's not all! The in-game Ring Shop will offer additional characters like Upa-Upa and the Werebear. Meanwhile, the Red Star Ring Shop will feature characters from Super Monkey Ball, including AiAi and MeeMee, available for purchase.

It's quite unusual to see such a significant event before the official release, but it's a thrilling opportunity for those who have early access. And this is just the beginning! Sega has promised a packed calendar of crossovers and collaborations for Sonic Rumble, so fans can look forward to more exciting content in the future.
